High Heel Celebrities: Amber Heard, Bella Hadid and Rita Ora

The iconic Jessica Rabbit dress is the ultimate in sex appeal and many celebrities have tried to ape that look – some were successful and some looked like Bella Hadid.

Amber Heard and Bella Hadid wore similar dresses with one major difference – the amount of skin on show. Heard in that Ralph Lauren silk charmeuse dress with gorgeous “natural” looking hair was a knockout. Bella however was a different story, I barely managed to find a picture that wasn’t cringe worthy. Although she was wearing an attached matching body suit (red dental floss) underneath, at some angles a little too much Bella was on display. Yes, she is super smouldering, but the whole look was too contrived. I get it.. everyone wants to make a splash at Cannes, but I much prefer Aishwarya Rai’s purple lipstick fiasco to this walking (and posing) wardrobe malfunction.

Celebrity #2

Wearing Ralph Lauren Collection, Jimmy Choo Shoes and Anita Ko jewels.
Location: Met Gala 2016

Shoe bites: Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s Wax Figure at Madame Tussaud

As compared to the older wax figure (below), this new one is uncanny. This time Madam Tussaud selected Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s red carpet appearance in 2010 at the Cannes Film Festival. It’s incredible, they even got that annoying look of hers, slight eyebrow raise with that faint smirk, down to a T. I must add that they made her considerably slimmer and the hair looks a lot nicer on fake Aishwarya. The big disappointment was the Elie Saab dress, but then again, his work is unique and very difficult to replicate. Funny isn’t it, replicating people is easier than re making couture!  Continue reading
