Charlize Theron and Deepika Padukone are going head to head in my battle of the plunging neckline. A huge trend for 2016, popping up on the runways, bridal gowns and the red carpet. Got to say with their stunning bodies, these two fashion icons are working it!
Styling wise, both ladies did the updo and long chain, which works with the mermaid silhouette. However, I’m giving my vote to Theron because she rocked this outfit way back in February. Also compared to Padukone, Charlize’s softer look was more striking and effortless on the red carpet. Got a favourite?

Nothing matches glorious gloomy, rainy days better than Athiya Shetty’s monsoon hued wardrobe. I’ve had my eye on the long-limbed rising star and I’m crushing on everything she wears. Thanks to stylist Ami Patel, Athiya’s girl next door style has been elevated with classic stand out pieces that would look stunning on any girl. Glamorous, elegant and all in the shades of monsoon’s first shower. Here is a look at my favourite Athiya Shetty outfits.

IT’s IIFA TIME!! woot woot! As many of you know I’m not a huge Bollywood fan but I’m absolutely loving what stylists are doing to re-shape fashion in the Indian movie industry. The ladies are upping up their fitness regime and slipping into high fashion digs – Bollywood has never looked this good!

The iconic Jessica Rabbit dress is the ultimate in sex appeal and many celebrities have tried to ape that look – some were successful and some looked like Bella Hadid.

Amber Heard and Bella Hadid wore similar dresses with one major difference – the amount of skin on show. Heard in that Ralph Lauren silk charmeuse dress with gorgeous “natural” looking hair was a knockout. Bella however was a different story, I barely managed to find a picture that wasn’t cringe worthy. Although she was wearing an attached matching body suit (red dental floss) underneath, at some angles a little too much Bella was on display. Yes, she is super smouldering, but the whole look was too contrived. I get it.. everyone wants to make a splash at Cannes, but I much prefer Aishwarya Rai’s purple lipstick fiasco to this walking (and posing) wardrobe malfunction.

Who would have thought that the gaudy Posh Spice would one day turn a leaf and become an impeccable lady of style and taste. Victoria Beckham’s label is doing extremely well with it’s minimalist and utilitarian approach to luxury sports wear and it’s no wonder, considering her eye for fashion. Lately I’ve been noticing that VB keeps her style simple and the key to this is going H2T in one color. Go to your closet right away and organize all your garments by colour, once you do this, pick an outfit that matches in shade and tone. To get you started here are some examples from the style icon herself.
#Style Tip: Break the monotony of the ensemble by playing up your heels or bag.
A colleague of mine commented the other day, that I was one of the few people who wore a scarf without looking like a secretary. A half baked compliment I’m sure, but it got me thinking. A pretty and unique scarf can make any drab outfit look interesting. Looking at Jessica Alba and Sofia Vergara above, I’d say that is evidence enough.
Scarves need not be just a rectangular piece of cloth, these days they are sequined and even have jewellery attached to them. There are soo many options out there, so it’s really up to you to find a one that you feel will compliment your wardrobe. Here are some of my picks from Pret-amoda.com, I really like the mirror work one, maybe I can squeeze it into my shopping budget this month?!
I would never have thought that Comic-Con would be a place for some serious high heel spotting. Mila Kunis and Michelle Williams came out for a photo opp and the panel for their latest movie Oz the great and Powerful. While I can’t say too much about the movie, I can admire their choice in heels. It’s good that Mila decided to wear a pair of lace Dolce & Gabbana heels, because that blazer outfit is such a bore. Michelle on the other hand is sweet as pie in her Giuseppe Zanotti heels and dress. I still can’t take my eyes off those pink suede peep toes, talk about serious envy!
Before we get to the song… I want to share with you my Louboutin experience. My new job at Grazia has one BIG bonus, I get to be surrounded by incredible fashion when the stylists call it in for a photo shoot. Well this one shoot was begging for a pair of Louboutins, which is where I spotted them. While I didn’t get to keep them, I did for a moment, get to slip my toes into them.. ahh BLISS. now back to J.lo and the song.
Who knew J.Lo had a song named after our favourite heels!? Well my friend and fellow Christian Louboutin fanatic Leilah Zeenat youtubed the word Louboutin, et voila, this is what first came up. I’m not saying it’s an amazing song just cause it’s got the sacred word, but hey, I can’t help but like it. You think Jennifer got a pair every time she said Louboutin.. I do, she says it at least 50 times! The words aren’t too bad, especially when we think of those men who can’t make up their minds. Well we’d rather stick to our high heels than those flaky men, that’s for sure!
