Maybe it’s the excessive amount of wedding shows on TV or all my friends getting married, but I am OBSESSED with wedding dresses. Brides these days are spoilt for choice, no matter the budget, style or body size (finally) there is a runway worthy dress out there. If your boyfriend just popped the question, you are one lucky bride, because the bridal fashions for 2016-17 are fabulous – almost anything goes!
The Illusion Bodice
We’ve moved on from the illusion necklines and found ourselves lusting over these see-through bodice gowns. If demure yet sexy is what you want on your big day then these are perfect. Dreamlike and ethereal without looking like a poofy princess, what’s not to love?

Now this trend isn’t for everyone, certainly not the classic, traditional bride. If however you are inclined to be fashion forward but want to retain that traditional aesthetic, these feathered pieces are for you.

Men wear the Pants?
These ultra stylish pants and jumpsuits are not exclusive for same sex marriages. Any woman pushing the envelope and wanting to break out from the traditional would love these. I’m loving the all lace Ines di Santos lace outfit!

The ladies have been hitting the gym hard, because more and more now, brides want to look nude walking down the aisle. Created for the daring, designers are playing peek-a-boo and women can’t get enough of these barely there dresses.

Off the Shoulder.. YAAS!
Hands down the hottest trend for 2016, not only with pret but especially for bridal. Nothing says feminine and sexy better than a gorgeous off the shoulder gown. Fitted or fairy-like, these dresses are to die for.
