Wills India Fashion Week is just around the corner, and with that means more amazing Indian Autumn/Winter collections. Dev r Nil sent me some pictures today with a sneak peek of what’s to come. They’ve been enchanted by the idea of a Samurai, Geisha and Monk that are experiencing a sense of silence. It’s that’s moment where leaves start to fall and winters start to set in, as they explain in their prose.
There is a definite play of sheer and opaque fabric in this collection. I also detect, surface texture like cut-work and applique in the stark red jacket worn with the skirt, which will be something to look forward to coming down the runway. Their main motif in this collection are fern leaves and scattered roses. Hints of the print is seen in the gorgeous red column dress, but I’m not to keen on the fern embroidery on the black and white. I hope there is a sense of simplicity to the collection, as it could look a bit tired if too many details are put together.
Best of luck guys, can’t wait to see the collection.
