A designer’s strength lies in the ability to bring, season after season their own identity to whatever they create. Haider Ackermann does this and so much more. This time the collection was decidedly more focused on structure than before. Those straps that usually fall off a woman’s decolletage took a break this time. The pleasant surprise was that there was only one dress in the offering, making this season all about separates. The colour palette reminds me of dull rainy day, with moody greys and deeps browns accented with a little military green. Overall, the models walking down the runway looked like post war wives who took their husband’s uniform and made it their own. Below are some of the stand out looks from his Fall 2013 collection.
