Here is the first of a new set of posts called Shoe Bites. Essentially funny sightings, odd things or hideous outfits that catch my eye. Hope you like!
As compared to the older wax figure (below), this new one is uncanny. This time Madam Tussaud selected Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s red carpet appearance in 2010 at the Cannes Film Festival. It’s incredible, they even got that annoying look of hers, slight eyebrow raise with that faint smirk, down to a T. I must add that they made her considerably slimmer and the hair looks a lot nicer on fake Aishwarya. The big disappointment was the Elie Saab dress, but then again, his work is unique and very difficult to replicate. Funny isn’t it, replicating people is easier than re making couture!

I disagree. That mermaid dress is lovely. In fact the one on the statue is not as awesome.
