Decoding the Runway: Altuzarra

lace me up

Altuzarra offers us 3 options for summer – lunch heels, sexy heels and party heels; after all, aren’t those all the things we love to do in the hot weather? Lets start with the Lunch heels (seen above), similar styles but one open toed and the other a pointed toe. Great with any day dress and perfect for those lunch meetings or brunches with the ladies. Lets just take a moment and accept that the pointy toe is back and I’m thrilled about it. Altuzarra had these heels in neutral shades and then towards the end of the show in a sexy crimson colour, that screams naughty Indian girl.

sexy shoes

I don’t know about you guys, but these have the song S&M by Rihanna written all over them. Almost as if you should keep these for when you want to reward your banker boy, wearing Victoria’s Secret and these babies. If your banker boy doesn’t deserve a reward (mine sure doesn’t), then wear these with a LBD and hit the town, you’ll be sure to turn some heads in these. Unlike the neutral shades these are higher and will make your legs look longer (thats the essence of a pointed toe BTW).

point me to the tropics

If you aren’t into pointed heels but want to break yourself into a pair, then start with a bang. These are gorgeous, will go with any colour in your wardrobe and are right on trend with the tropical feel. I’d wear these to all the summer soirees maybe even a pool party, will look fab with a monokini and cover up. All this talk about pointed toes reminds me that I got to dig up my old pointies, that’ll be first on my ‘to do’ list once I get back to India (apart form eating butter chicken and naan off course).
